Hi, I’m Johanna and I believe that through art and photography, stories can be told, emotions can be captured and voices can be heard.

For as long as I can remember, I have been a creative individual. Whether I could be found painting and drawing as a little girl or styling photo shoots with my friends as a teen, being creative in one way or another has always been an important outlet for me.

With a Bachelor of Fine Arts and Education, I have over 16 years of experience teaching Visual Arts at the high school, middle school, elementary and pre-school level, and over 14 years of providing photography services. I have made it my mission to be able to share my love for creativity by providing art education and offering unique and personal photography services to those in my community. I have had my work published in magazines such as Saltscapes, Explore, Bella Grace and Photo Life, purchased by the Yukon Government and continue to show my work at local venues.

Want to know more? I’m a mama to three wonderful kiddos and a partner to my supportive husband. We also have some sweet fur babies, Ryder the rescue dog and Baxter the bunny. In no particular order I love: sunflowers, coffee, a fresh new page in my journal, writing and reading, hiking in the woods or by the coastline, collecting sea glass and going thrifting. I can often be found with a paintbrush in my hand or my camera around my neck, creating images that bring me joy.
